How to Ask for a Combo Ticket in Spanish (Multi-Attraction Passes)

Learn to ask ¿Hay boleto combinado? in Latin American Spanish, name attractions, and ask about savings on multi-site passes.

Includes practice questions and sample answers.
Friends planning a trip around a map in a warmly lit café

When you visit a city with several museums, ruins, or parks, buying one ticket for everything can save money and time. In this lesson you will learn the key question ¿Hay boleto combinado? (Is there a combo ticket?) and the follow-up questions you need at a ticket window. You will practice naming two or more attractions, asking the price, and asking whether the pass saves you money. The focus is broadly useful Latin American Spanish, with regional notes where wording changes.

    By the end, you can…

    • ask whether a combined ticket exists for two or more attractions.
    • name attractions and ask how much a combo ticket costs and whether it saves money.

    Words you’ll actually use

Listen once. Try it slowly. Then say it without looking.

    ¿Hay boleto combinado?

    Is there a combo ticket?

    ee eye boh-LEH-toh kohm-bee-NAH-doh

The most direct question at a ticket window. In Mexico you may also hear boleto combinado; in Argentina and Uruguay, entrada combinada is common.

¿Hay un pase para varios museos?

Is there a pass for several museums?

    ee eye oon PAH-seh pah-rah BAH-ryohs moo-SEH-ohs

Use pase when the ticket works like a pass. Pase is widely understood across Latin America.

    ¿Cuánto cuesta el boleto combinado?

How much does the combo ticket cost?

    KWAHN-toh KWEHS-tah el boh-LEH-toh kohm-bee-NAH-doh

A polite, standard price question. You can replace boleto combinado with pase or entrada combinada.

    ¿Cuánto ahorro con el pase?

How much do I save with the pass?

    KWAHN-toh ah-OH-roh kohn el PAH-seh

Use this to compare the pass price with buying separate tickets. Ahorro means I save.

¿El pase incluye el museo y las ruinas?

Does the pass include the museum and the ruins?

    el PAH-seh een-KLOO-yeh el moo-SEH-oh ee lahs RWEE-nahs

Use incluye to ask what is covered. List the places with y (and). For more than two, use commas and y before the last item.

Pronunciation guides are approximate. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.

    Make it make sense

    Useful pattern

The core pattern is ¿Hay + [ticket word] + para/combinado? Hay means there is or there are. Ask ¿Hay boleto combinado? or ¿Hay un pase para dos atracciones? (Is there a pass for two attractions?). To ask about savings, use ¿Cuánto ahorro con...? For example: ¿Cuánto ahorro con el pase? (How much do I save with the pass?). To ask what is included, use ¿El pase incluye...? as in ¿El pase incluye el acuario? (Does the pass include the aquarium?).

    When to use it

Use these questions at the taquilla (ticket window) before you pay. Start with ¿Hay boleto combinado? If the answer is sí, ask ¿Cuánto cuesta? and ¿Cuánto ahorro con el pase? If you need specific sites, ask ¿El pase incluye el museo y el jardín botánico? In some places the pass is digital, so you may hear es un pase digital (it is a digital pass). If the answer is no, you can ask ¿Solo hay boletos individuales? (Are there only individual tickets?).

    A conversation you could have

Listen to each line, then take one part and reply out loud.

A little context goes a long way

In Latin America, boleto is common in Mexico and much of South America, while entrada is very common in Argentina, Uruguay, and Spain. Pase works widely for a multi-site pass. Prices and student or resident discounts vary by site, so ask ¿Hay descuento para estudiantes? (Is there a student discount?) if it applies to you. Keep your tone polite with buenos días or buenas tardes before your question.

    One thing to watch for

Using ¿Hay un boleto combinado? with an English word order or saying ¿Es hay un boleto?

Try this instead: Hay already means there is or there are, so do not add es. Say ¿Hay un boleto combinado? or simply ¿Hay boleto combinado? For example, correct: ¿Hay un pase para los dos museos? Incorrect: ¿Es hay un pase?

    Your turn

Try answering out loud before checking a possible answer.
