When to use it
Use these questions only after you already have a reservation or a room. If you have not booked yet, you are making a new reservation, not extending. Say 하루만 더 묵을 수 있어요? at the front desk when you want one more night. If you want the same room, add 같은 방에 (ga-teun bang-e). If you are not sure a room exists, ask 내일 방이 비어 있어요? One thing to watch for
Using 예약할 수 있어요? (ye-yak-hal su i-sseo-yo?, 'Can I make a reservation?') when you already have a room and only want more nights.
Try this instead: Use 연장할 수 있어요? (yeon-jang-hal su i-sseo-yo?) or 묵을 수 있어요? (mu-geul su i-sseo-yo?) for an extension. For example, 하루만 연장할 수 있어요? means 'Can I extend by one night?' 예약 is for a new booking, not for adding nights to an existing stay.
