Sharing Your Art Without Judging Others in Mandarin Chinese
Learn to share your sketch at a creative meetup in Mandarin using 分享一下, 我觉得, and 不评价, with polite questions for staff and a short dialogue.

At a creative meetup, you want to show your sketch and invite friendly thoughts without turning the room into a critique session. In Mandarin, three phrases make this easy: 分享一下 (fēnxiǎng yíxià) means 'share a bit', 我觉得 (wǒ juéde) means 'I feel' or 'in my view', and 不评价 (bú píngjià) means 'no judgment'. Use 分享一下 to offer your work, 我觉得 to frame your own opinion as personal, and 不评价 to ask people to hold back unsolicited critique. This lesson gives you reusable patterns for a supportive, humble tone in creative communities.
By the end, you can…
- offer my sketch to the group using 分享一下.
- give a personal opinion with 我觉得 and avoid sounding like a judge.
- ask for no judgment with 不评价 and ask staff simple questions.
Listen once. Try it slowly. Then say it without looking.

我分享一下我的速写,可以吗?
I'll share my sketch, is that okay?
wǒ fēnxiǎng yíxià wǒ de sùxiě, kěyǐ ma?
Use at the start when you want to show your work to the group. 速写 means a quick sketch.
我觉得这个线条还可以,你觉得呢?
I feel this line is okay, what do you think?
wǒ juéde zhège xiàntiáo hái kěyǐ, nǐ juéde ne?
Frames your view as personal. 还可以 means 'it's okay' or 'not bad'.
今天不评价,只分享。
No judgment today, just sharing.
jīntiān bú píngjià, zhǐ fēnxiǎng.
A gentle group norm. Use it to keep the mood supportive, not critical.
这是我的练习,还在改。
This is my practice piece, still revising.
zhè shì wǒ de liànxí, hái zài gǎi.
Humble framing before feedback. 练习 means practice, 改 means revise.
请问,这里可以放画吗?
Excuse me, can I put my drawing here?
qǐngwèn, zhèlǐ kěyǐ fàng huà ma?
A polite question for staff. 请问 softens the request; 放 means put or place.
Pronunciation guides are approximate. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.
Make it make sense
Useful pattern
分享一下 + object means 'share a bit of [something]'. 一下 makes the action light and friendly. Examples: 我分享一下我的画。 (I'll share my drawing.) 你分享一下你的想法。 (Share your thoughts.) To set a no-judgment tone, pair it with 不评价: 我们分享一下,不评价。 (Let's share, no judgment.) 我觉得 + comment makes your opinion personal: 我觉得颜色很好。 (I feel the color is good.) 你觉得呢? invites the other person's view without demanding a critique.
When to use it
Use 分享一下 when you offer your sketch, notes, or process to the group. Use 我觉得 when you want to state your own view without sounding like a final judge. Use 不评价 when someone starts giving unsolicited critique and you want to keep the meetup supportive. For example, if a person says 这个不好 (this isn't good), you can reply 今天不评价,我们只分享。 (No judgment today, we're just sharing.) To ask staff, use 请问 + simple question: 请问,这里可以拍照吗? (Excuse me, can I take photos here?)
Listen to each line, then take one part and reply out loud.
我分享一下我的速写,可以吗?
I'll share my sketch, is that okay?wǒ fēnxiǎng yíxià wǒ de sùxiě, kěyǐ ma?可以。我觉得这个线条很自然。
Sure. I feel this line is very natural.kěyǐ. wǒ juéde zhège xiàntiáo hěn zìrán.谢谢。这是我的练习,还在改。今天不评价,只分享。
Thanks. This is my practice piece, still revising. No judgment today, just sharing.xièxie. zhè shì wǒ de liànxí, hái zài gǎi. jīntiān bú píngjià, zhǐ fēnxiǎng.好,我也分享一下我的草稿。
Okay, I'll share my draft too.hǎo, wǒ yě fēnxiǎng yíxià wǒ de cǎogǎo.A little context goes a long way
In creative meetups, 我觉得 keeps opinions personal, while 不评价 sets a gentle group norm. Direct critique can feel harsh, so pair any comment with a question like 你觉得呢? to invite dialogue. With staff, 请问 is polite and neutral; avoid assuming what services or spaces are available. If you are unsure, ask simply: 请问,这里可以放画吗?
One thing to watch for
Saying 你错了 (you're wrong) or 这个不好 (this isn't good) when you want to give feedback.
Try this instead: Use 我觉得 + personal view, or ask 你觉得呢? For example, instead of 这个不好, say 我觉得这里可以再改一下。 (I feel this part could be revised a bit.) This keeps the tone supportive and avoids unsolicited judgment.
