In this workshop you practise talking about a trip you have planned. You will say where you are going, how long you are staying, and what you plan to visit. You will also ask someone else about their trip and understand their reply. The recorded lines give you the exact phrases to use, so you can speak with confidence before you try it on your own.
Saying where and how long
Start with the destination and the time. The recorded line «我下个月要去日本了。» means "I am going to Japan next month." It tells the listener the country and when the trip happens. To say how long the trip lasts, use the recorded line «我要去一个星期。», which means "I am going for a week." Notice that the destination comes first, then the length of stay. When you speak, keep the two pieces separate at first: say where you are going, pause, then say how long. This makes your sentence clear even if you are still learning the rhythm. Practise both lines aloud until the tones feel natural, then join them in one short turn.
Saying what you plan to see
After the destination and the length of stay, add your plans. The recorded line «我打算去东京和京都。» means "I plan to go to Tokyo and Kyoto." It lists two places you intend to visit. The recorded line «我要去看富士山。» means "I am going to see Mount Fuji." It names one specific sight. Use «我打算去东京和京都。» when you want to list cities, and use «我要去看富士山。» when you want to name a landmark you are going to see. In a real conversation you can say the destination, then the length, then your plans, one after another. Keep each part short and clear, and let the listener follow you step by step.
Asking and answering about a trip
A conversation about travel has two sides. The recorded line «真的吗?你要去多久?» means "Really? How long are you going for?" It shows interest and asks for the length of the trip. The recorded line «太好了!我也想去日本旅行。» means "Great! I also want to travel to Japan." It responds warmly and shares a similar wish. When someone asks you how long you are going for, answer with the length, as in «我要去一个星期。». When someone tells you their plans, you can react with interest and then add your own wish, as in «太好了!我也想去日本旅行。». Keep the order: question first, then answer, then your own comment. This keeps the exchange easy to follow for both speakers.
Listen once, then say the phrase yourself. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.

Guided exchange: ask and answer about a trip
Two learners work in pairs. One plays the traveller and one plays the friend. The traveller has a trip planned and the friend wants to know more. Read your lines aloud in order.
Your task: Traveller: say where you are going and when, using «我下个月要去日本了。». Friend: show interest and ask how long the trip is, using «真的吗?你要去多久?». Traveller: give the length and your plans, using «我要去一个星期。我打算去东京和京都。». Friend: react and share your own wish, using «太好了!我也想去日本旅行。». Then swap roles and read the same four lines again in the same order.
Reply comprehension: choose the right answer
Read the situation and choose the best reply from the options. All options come from the recorded lines. Say your choice aloud before you check.
Your task: Situation: A friend says «我下个月要去日本了。» to you. You want to know how long the trip is. Which reply fits? Option A: «真的吗?你要去多久?». Option B: «我要去一个星期。». Option C: «我要去看富士山。». Say your choice, then check the answer key below.
Recall with correct roles
Work in pairs without looking at the lines. One learner is the traveller and one is the friend. The traveller speaks first. Keep the same order as the recorded exchange.
Your task: Traveller: say where you are going and when. Friend: ask how long the trip is. Traveller: give the length and your plans. Friend: react and share your own wish. Use the recorded lines from memory. After you finish, swap roles and repeat the same order.
Common questions
Do I need to learn new words to do these exercises?
No. Every line you need is in the recorded examples. You practise saying where you are going, how long you are staying, and what you plan to see, using the same phrases. If you can say the recorded lines clearly, you can complete all three tasks.
What if I am not sure which line to use in the comprehension task?
Ask yourself what the other person wants to know. If they want the length of the trip, use the question from «真的吗?你要去多久?». If they are giving the length, that is «我要去一个星期。». If they are naming places, that is «我打算去东京和京都。» or «我要去看富士山。». Match the purpose of the line to the situation, then say it aloud.
