In this workshop you will practice a short, practical exchange about leaving luggage for a while and picking it up later. You will first ask the question yourself, then listen to a reply and choose what it means, and finally rebuild the whole exchange from memory with the right roles. The recordings give you the exact lines to use, so you can focus on speaking clearly and responding at the right moment.
Asking the storage question
Start with the short question «我可以把行李存在这里吗?», which means "Can I store my luggage here?" The word for luggage is «我的行李», meaning "my luggage." If you are carrying a bag rather than a suitcase, you can use «我可以存包吗?», which means "Can I store my bag(s)?" Say the line slowly first, then at a natural speed. Keep your tone polite and your voice steady. When you can say the short question comfortably, add the greeting and use the full opening «你好,我可以把行李存在这里吗?», which means "Hello, can I store my luggage here?" This is the line you would say when you first arrive and want to leave your things for a while.
Understanding the reply and giving your time
After you ask, the other person may answer with «可以。你什么时候取?», which means "Yes, you can. When will you pick it up?" Notice that the reply both agrees and asks for your pickup time, so you should be ready to answer straight away. Give your time with «我下午三点来取。», which means "I will come to pick it up at 3 p.m." If you need to ask the time question yourself, use «什么时候可以取?», which means "When can I pick it up?" The other person can then close the exchange with «好的,没问题。», which means "Okay, no problem." In this scene, one person is the customer and the other is the staff member. The customer asks about storage and gives a pickup time; the staff member agrees and asks the time question.
Listen once, then say the phrase yourself. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.
Checking available voices…
我可以把行李存在这里吗?
Can I store my luggage here?
wǒ kěyǐ bǎ xíngli cún zài zhèlǐ ma
我的行李

我可以存包吗?

Read one side aloud, then answer in your own words. The goal is to make the exchange yours.
你好,我可以把行李存在这里吗?
Hello, can I store my luggage here?可以。你什么时候取?
Yes, you can. When will you pick it up?我下午三点来取。
I will come to pick it up at 3 p.m.好的,没问题。
Okay, no problem.Your turn
Try each prompt out loud. Choose a guided start, the full sequence, or a challenge pass after your first attempt.
Guided storage request
Imagine you arrive at a hotel or station desk with your luggage and want to leave it for a few hours. You are the customer. The staff member is ready to help.
Your task: Say the full opening line «你好,我可以把行李存在这里吗?» out loud as the customer. Then pause and listen to the staff reply «可以。你什么时候取?». After the reply, give your pickup time with «我下午三点来取。». Finish by listening to «好的,没问题。».
Choose the right reply
You have just asked whether you can store your luggage. The staff member answers with «可以。你什么时候取?». You need to decide what this reply is doing before you respond.
Your task: Listen to «可以。你什么时候取?» and choose the best description: A) The staff member agrees and asks when you will pick up your luggage. B) The staff member refuses and asks you to leave. C) The staff member asks whether you have a bag. Then respond with the line that fits: «我下午三点来取。».
Recall the exchange with correct roles
Now rebuild the whole scene from memory. One person is the customer who wants to store luggage; the other is the staff member at the desk. You can play both roles with the audio, but there is no automatic assessment, so check yourself against the lines.
Your task: With a partner, take the customer role and say «你好,我可以把行李存在这里吗?». Your partner takes the staff role and says «可以。你什么时候取?». You then say «我下午三点来取。», and your partner closes with «好的,没问题。». After one full round, swap roles: your partner becomes the customer and you become the staff member. Keep the same order of question, reply, follow-up, and closing answer.
Common questions
What does the staff reply actually ask me to do?
The reply «可以。你什么时候取?» means "Yes, you can. When will you pick it up?" It agrees to your request and then asks for your pickup time, so you should answer with a time such as «我下午三点来取。», which means "I will come to pick it up at 3 p.m."
Can I use the short question instead of the full opening line?
Yes. «我可以把行李存在这里吗?» means "Can I store my luggage here?" and works as a short request on its own. «你好,我可以把行李存在这里吗?» means "Hello, can I store my luggage here?" and adds a greeting at the start. Both are useful; choose the one that fits how you normally open a conversation.
