In this workshop you practice a short ticket-counter exchange in Chinese. You will ask whether a combo ticket is available, ask about its price and savings, and ask which attractions it includes. You will also take the staff role and answer those questions. The recorded lines give you the exact questions and replies to use, so you can rehearse a realistic exchange without inventing new phrases.
Asking if a combo ticket exists
Start with a greeting and a simple availability question. The recorded line «你好,有套票吗?» means "Hello, is there a combo ticket?" It combines a greeting with the question from «有套票吗?», which means "Is there a combo ticket?" Use «你好,有套票吗?» when you approach the counter, and use «有套票吗?» when you only need to ask about availability. A staff member can answer with «有的。套票包括三个景点。», which means "Yes, there is. The combo ticket includes three attractions." Notice that the reply confirms availability and adds what the ticket includes, so you get two pieces of information at once.
Asking about price, savings, and included attractions
After you know a combo ticket exists, you can ask for more details. The line «套票多少钱?» means "How much is the combo ticket?" Use it when you want the price. The line «套票便宜多少?» means "How much cheaper is the combo ticket?" Use it when you want to know the savings compared with buying separately. The line «包括哪些景点?» means "Which attractions does it include?" Use it when you want to know what the ticket covers. A staff member can answer the savings question with «比单买便宜五十块。», which means "It's fifty yuan cheaper than buying separately." Keep the subject the same across your questions: you are still asking about the combo ticket, not about a single ticket.
Taking the staff role
You can also practice as the staff member. When a visitor asks «你好,有套票吗?», answer with «有的。套票包括三个景点。». When a visitor asks «套票便宜多少?», which means "How much cheaper is the combo ticket?", answer with «比单买便宜五十块。». The order stays the same: the visitor asks, then you reply. If you swap roles with a partner, the person reading the visitor part still asks first, and the person reading the staff part still answers second. This keeps the exchange realistic and helps you remember which line belongs to which role.
Listen once, then say the phrase yourself. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.

Guided ticket-counter exchange
You are a visitor at a ticket counter. Your partner is staff. Read the visitor lines in order and let your partner read the staff lines.
Your task: Visitor: say «你好,有套票吗?». Staff: reply with «有的。套票包括三个景点。». Visitor: ask «套票便宜多少?». Staff: reply with «比单买便宜五十块。». Then switch roles and repeat the same order.
Choose the right reply
You hear a visitor ask a question. Choose the staff reply that matches it. Use only the recorded replies.
Your task: Question 1: the visitor says «你好,有套票吗?». Is the matching reply «有的。套票包括三个景点。» or «比单买便宜五十块。»? Question 2: the visitor says «套票便宜多少?». Is the matching reply «有的。套票包括三个景点。» or «比单买便宜五十块。»?
Recall and role swap
Cover the lines. One person is the visitor and one is staff. Recall the exchange from memory, then swap roles.
Your task: Visitor: greet and ask about a combo ticket. Staff: confirm and say what it includes. Visitor: ask how much cheaper it is. Staff: give the savings. Use the recorded lines «你好,有套票吗?», «有的。套票包括三个景点。», «套票便宜多少?», and «比单买便宜五十块。».
Common questions
What is the difference between asking «套票多少钱?» and asking «套票便宜多少?»?
«套票多少钱?» asks for the price of the combo ticket. «套票便宜多少?» asks how much cheaper the combo ticket is compared with buying separately. Use «套票多少钱?» when you want the total price, and use «套票便宜多少?» when you want to know the savings.
Can I practice alone if I do not have a partner?
Yes. You can read the visitor lines aloud and then read the staff lines aloud, keeping the same order: question first, reply second. You can also play the recordings and repeat each line. Use the answer key in the exercises to check yourself.
