    Checking available voices…

    저희 콘셉트는 ...입니다.

    Our concept is ...

    jeo-hui kon-sep-teu-neun ...im-ni-da

Use this to state your concept clearly. '저희' is a humble way to say 'our' in business contexts.

    주 타깃은 ...입니다.

    The main target is ...

    ju ta-git-eun ...im-ni-da

Use this to specify your target audience. '주' means 'main' and '타깃' is a loanword for 'target'.

    저희의 차별점은 ...입니다.

    Our differentiator is ...

    jeo-hui-ui cha-byeol-jeom-eun ...im-ni-da

Use this to highlight what makes your concept unique. '차별점' means 'differentiation point'.

    건강한 재료를 사용합니다.

    We use healthy ingredients.

    geon-gang-han jae-ryo-reul sa-yong-ham-ni-da

A common phrase to emphasize quality. You can replace '건강한' with other adjectives like '신선한' (fresh).

    이 콘셉트는 ...에 적합합니다.

This concept is suitable for ...

    i kon-sep-teu-neun ...e jeok-hap-ham-ni-da

Use this to explain where or for whom your concept works well. '적합합니다' is a formal way to say 'is suitable'.

Pronunciation guides are approximate. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.

    Make it make sense

    Useful pattern

The pattern '저희 콘셉트는 ...입니다' allows you to define your concept. For example, '저희 콘셉트는 건강한 샐러드 전문점입니다' means 'Our concept is a healthy salad specialty store.' You can also use '주 타깃은 ...입니다' to specify your audience, e.g., '주 타깃은 건강을 중시하는 20-30대 직장인입니다' (The main target is health-conscious office workers in their 20s and 30s). To highlight uniqueness, use '저희의 차별점은 ...입니다', e.g., '저희의 차별점은 유기농 재료를 사용한다는 점입니다' (Our differentiator is that we use organic ingredients).

    When to use it

Use these phrases in formal business settings such as pitching to investors, partners, or in a business plan presentation. They are polite and professional. For example, when introducing your restaurant to a potential investor, you might say: '저희 콘셉트는 비건 디저트 카페입니다. 주 타깃은 채식주의자와 건강에 관심 있는 젊은 층입니다. 저희의 차별점은 글루텐 프리 옵션을 제공한다는 점입니다.' This structure helps you present a clear and concise pitch. Avoid using these phrases in casual conversations with friends; instead, use simpler language.

    A conversation you could have

Listen to each line, then take one part and reply out loud.

A little context goes a long way

In Korean business culture, it's important to use humble language when referring to your own company or team. '저희' is preferred over '우리' in formal presentations. Also, when presenting, it's common to use the formal polite style '-습니다/ㅂ니다' to show respect to the audience. Avoid overly casual speech unless you know the audience well.

    One thing to watch for

Using '우리' instead of '저희' in a formal business pitch.

Try this instead: In formal settings, use '저희' to show humility. For example, say '저희 콘셉트는...' instead of '우리 콘셉트는...'. '우리' is more casual and can sound less professional.

    Your turn

Try answering out loud before checking a possible answer.

1How would you say 'Our concept is a vegan bakery' in Korean?

    Show a sample answer

    저희 콘셉트는 비건 베이커리입니다.

This uses the pattern '저희 콘셉트는 ...입니다' with '비건 베이커리' (vegan bakery). Alternative: '저희 콘셉트는 비건 빵집입니다' is also correct but less common.

2Translate: 'The main target is young families.'

    Show a sample answer

    주 타깃은 젊은 가족입니다.

This uses '주 타깃은 ...입니다' with '젊은 가족' (young families). You could also say '주 타깃은 어린 자녀를 둔 가족입니다' for more specificity.

3What phrase would you use to say 'Our differentiator is that we use local ingredients'?

    Show a sample answer

저희의 차별점은 지역 재료를 사용한다는 점입니다.

This uses '저희의 차별점은 ...입니다' with a clause '지역 재료를 사용한다는 점' (the point that we use local ingredients). Alternative: '저희의 차별점은 지역 재료입니다' is simpler but less precise.

    Take this with you

Use '저희 콘셉트는 ...입니다', '주 타깃은 ...입니다', and '저희의 차별점은 ...입니다' to present your concept clearly and professionally in Korean. Practice these patterns to deliver a confident pitch.
