Il parcheggio è incluso?
Is parking included?
eel par-KED-joh eh een-KLOO-zoh
The standard neutral question. Use it at hotel receptions, when booking an apartment, or before confirming a restaurant reservation. 'Parcheggio' is masculine, so the pronoun is 'il'.
Il parcheggio è gratuito?
Is parking free of charge?
eel par-KED-joh eh grah-TWEE-toh
Use this when you want to know specifically about cost rather than inclusion. 'Gratuito' is slightly more formal than 'gratis', which is also common in speech.
Quanto costa il parcheggio?
How much does parking cost?
KWAHN-toh KOS-tah eel par-KED-joh
Ask this if parking is available but not included. The answer may be per hour ('all'ora'), per day ('al giorno') or per night ('a notte').
C'è un parcheggio privato?
Is there a private car park?
cheh oon par-KED-joh pree-VAH-toh
'C'è' means 'there is'. Use this to check whether parking is reserved for guests or customers rather than public street parking.
Il parcheggio è in garage o all'aperto?
Is the parking in a garage or outdoors?
eel par-KED-joh eh een ga-RAHZH oh al-lah-PEHR-toh
Useful for checking whether your car will be covered. 'All'aperto' means outdoors or open-air; 'in garage' means inside a covered garage.
Pronunciation guides are approximate. Slow playback keeps the original pitch.

Useful pattern
The core pattern is 'Il parcheggio è + adjective or past participle?' For example: 'Il parcheggio è incluso?' (Is parking included?), 'Il parcheggio è gratuito?' (Is parking free?) and 'Il parcheggio è custodito?' (Is the parking attended?). You can also ask 'C'è il parcheggio?' (Is there parking?) or 'Avete un parcheggio?' (Do you have parking?). The verb 'avere' is used for possession: 'Avete un parcheggio?' is a polite plural 'you' form, common in shops and hotels.
When to use it
Use 'incluso' when parking is part of a price you are already paying, such as a hotel room or apartment booking. Use 'gratuito' or 'gratis' when you want to know if there is any charge at all. If the answer is 'non è incluso' (it is not included), follow up with 'Quanto costa?' (How much does it cost?). For public parking, you may hear 'parcheggio a pagamento' (paid parking), 'parcheggio libero' (free street parking where allowed) or 'parcheggio a disco orario' (parking with a time disc).
Listen to each line, then take one part and reply out loud.
Buonasera, ho prenotato una camera. Il parcheggio è incluso?

Yes, the garage costs fifteen euros per night.see, eel ga-RAHZH KOS-tah KWEEN-dee-chee EH-oo-roh ah NOT-tehA little context goes a long way
In Italy, 'parcheggio' often refers to a surface car park, while 'garage' means a covered garage and 'autorimessa' is a larger commercial parking facility. Hotel listings frequently say 'parcheggio incluso' but add 'fino a esaurimento posti' (subject to availability), so it is normal to confirm by phone or email. In historic city centres, driving and parking are often restricted by ZTL zones, so ask before you arrive.
One thing to watch for
Using 'È incluso il parcheggio?' with a different word order and assuming it is wrong, or saying 'Il parcheggio è compreso?' without knowing that 'compreso' also means included.
Try this instead: Both 'Il parcheggio è incluso?' and 'Il parcheggio è compreso?' are correct and common. 'Incluso' and 'compreso' are close synonyms. A real error is using 'incluso' with the wrong gender: say 'La colazione è inclusa?' for breakfast, because 'colazione' is feminine, but 'Il parcheggio è incluso?' because 'parcheggio' is masculine.

Show a sample answer
Il parcheggio è incluso?
This uses the masculine noun 'parcheggio' with the verb 'è' and the adjective 'incluso'. 'Il parcheggio è compreso?' is also correct.
2A hotel says 'Il parcheggio non è incluso, costa dieci euro al giorno.' What does this mean?
Show a sample answer
Parking is not included; it costs ten euros per day.
'Non è incluso' means it is not included, and 'costa dieci euro al giorno' gives the daily price. If you hear 'a notte', the price is per night instead.
3How would you ask whether the parking is in a garage or outdoors?
Show a sample answer
Il parcheggio è in garage o all'aperto?
This contrasts 'in garage' (covered) with 'all'aperto' (open-air). You could also ask 'Il parcheggio è coperto o scoperto?' with a similar meaning.
Ask 'Il parcheggio è incluso?' first, then follow up with 'Quanto costa?' or 'C'è un garage?' to understand exactly what parking you are getting.
